Trails are in poor condition and not rideable in most areas. It looks like snowmobiling is over for the season with temps predicted to be in the mid 40s all week and rain in the forecast for mid-week.

COUNTRY SKI TRAIL REPORT... 3/9/10
Price County's nine cross-country ski trails are in poor condition. The base is holding up, but the tracks are in poor condition. Trails are no longer being groomed. There may be bare spots on south facing slopes. Conditions are icy in the morning and slushy later in the day. There is rain in the forecast for mid-week with temps predicted to be in the mid- to upper-40s all week.
Timm's Hill National Trail was groomed and tracked on 2/26/10. The condition is excellent. The trail will be groomed and tracked again later this week. (Report as of 3/1/10) Beginner to expert level for classic and skate skiing. Go to www.timmshilltrail.com for more information.
Palmquists' Trail is groomed and tracked on 2/26/10. The trail condition is good to very good. Grooming will take place on an as needed basis. Holy Cross Trail was groomed and tracked 2/24/10. The condition is fair to good. The trail is skiable, but the tracks are icy. (Report as of 3/1/10) Beginner and intermediate level for classic skiing only.
Solberg Lake/Squaw Creek Trail was groomed and tracked 2/17/10. The condition is fair to good. The trail is skiable, but the tracks are icy. (Report as of 3/1/10) Beginner level for classic skiing only.
Phillips School Forest Trail was groomed and tracked 2/25/10. The trail is in fair condition.
This trail will not be groomed again unless it snows. (Report as of 3/2/10) Beginner to expert level for classic and skate skiing.
High Point Trail (map) is groomed and tracked on a regular basis and it is in great condition. Intermediate and expert level for classic and skate skiing. For current trail conditions or more information, contact High Point Village and the Hill of Beans Cafe at 715-767-5287.
Flambeau Hills & Snuss Connector Trail were groomed and tracked 3/2/10.
The trail condition is fair. Conditions are icy due to thawing and freezing. Best skiing will be in the morning when trail is frozen.
(Report as of 3/5/10) Beginner to expert level for classic and skate skiing. These trails are located in the Flambeau River State Forest.
Newman Springs Trail will be groomed and tracked on 2/25/10. Trail condition is fair to good. Conditions are expected to be fair with patches of ice forming due to increased temps.
The next anticipated grooming is 3/4/10.
(Report as of 3/3/10) Beginner and intermediate level for classic skiing only. Dogs are allowed to accompany skiers on this trail. This trail is located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest
Wintergreen Trail will be groomed and tracked on 2/24/10. Trail condition is fair to good.
Conditions are expected to be fair with patches of ice forming due to increased temps.
The next anticipated grooming is 3/4/10.
