COVID-19 Vaccine Information
We are at a historic point in the COVID-19 response. FDA approved an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for Moderna's and Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccines and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) released the interim recommendations for their use. This represents a major step forward in fighting the pandemic! Ae
Are COVID-19 vaccinations being provided in Price County?
Yes, the Wisconsin COVID-19 Vaccine Program is following ACIP and Wisconsin State Disaster Medical Advisory Committee (SDMAC) guidance about priority groups for COVID-19 vaccination, until there is enough vaccine for everybody who wants a vaccine.
Who is getting vaccinated in Price County?
Currently, we are in phase 1a and limited groups from phase 1b of the vaccine prioritization guidelines.
Phase 1a includes:
- Health care providers
- Skilled nursing facility staff and residents
Limited Phase 1b groups include:
- Frontline Fire and Police personnel
- Corrections personnel
- Adults aged 65 and older

We will be issuing a press release, updating our Facebook page and website, and connecting with local newspaper and radio organizations.

Where will Price County Public Health offer vaccinations?
Due to storage and handling guidelines, all COVID-19 vaccines will be administered in our Phillips Office.
What can I do while waiting to get my vaccine?
Learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine on the CDC's website and become a vaccine advocate for your friends and family.
Continue wearing masks, physical distancing, washing hands, and getting tested and isolating if they have signs and symptoms of COVID-19. If we continue to using all these COVID-19 precaution tools, we stand the best chance of seeing people in our families, communities, schools, and workplaces face-to-face sooner.
