CodeRED Tech Tips

Registering a Prepaid Phone

When signing up for CodeRED on the enrollment page, if you use Tracfone, Straight Talk, Jitterbug or other prepaid phone services, you may not know who your actual cell phone provider is, as these secondary providers are actually resellers for large carriers. Luckily, there is an easy way to find out. Simply send a text message to your email to learn who provides your cell phone service. When you open the email, you will see the sender is your phone number followed by the cell phone provider. Example: 5214514251@txt.att.net (AT&T).

Here are some common providers:
  • messaging.sprintpcs.com (Sprint)
  • tmomail.net (T-Mobile)
  • vmoble.com (Virgin Mobil USA)
  • vtext.com (Verizon)
Now you can select the appropriate cell provider when signing up on the enrollment page, allowing the CodeRED system to properly format your text message.

Hear the Message Again

You just received a phone call from a CodeRED system, but were not able to catch all the details in the recorded message. Want to hear the last message you received again? Call back the number you received the call from. Your CodeRED system stores the last message your phone number received for 30 days.

Emergency calls will show up as 866-419-5000, while general calls will show up as 855-969-4636.
