The Price County Sheriff’s Office recently participated in the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Torch Run. A check in the amount of $3,866.66, representing money raised through the generous donations from area businesses and citizens, was presented by Deputy Laurie Zondlo to Wisconsin Special Olympics Regional Director of Development Jordan Becker. This amount represents the largest such donation to date made by the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputy Zondlo advised, "With the generous citizens and business we have, the Torch Run will continue to support our Special Olympians right here in Price County in future years." The Torch Run consisted of an 18 mile bike ride from Park Falls to Phillips. Participants included local law enforcement officers and staff, friends and other supporters. The finale was a parade through downtown Phillips for our Special Olympians.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to give a big "Thank You" to all who supported this important cause.
