Musser Flowage – Musser Dam Temporary Drawdown

 

Aquatic invasive species control water level reduction is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 2, 2025, on the Musser Flowage.  Weather pending, Musser Flowage will be drawn down 5 feet by Monday, September 15, 2025, drawdown rates should not exceed 6 inches per 24 hours.  Minimum low flow compliance must be passed at all times including during drawdown and refill, discharge 66-75% of inflow (10 CFS) to ensure adequate flow downstream of the dam is maintained.  This temporary drawdown is done to control aquatic invasives.  Refilling to occur when ice-out conditions exist.
