1. When can I request a Property Watch?

Typically if you will be out of town for an extended period of time. No minimum is required, although typically when you will be gone for a week or more.

2. How long can I have my property checked?

Property checks will be conducted for up to 90 days.

3. How many times will my property be checked while I'm away?

Property checks will be performed on a random basis. There is no guarantee as to the minimum number of times a property will be checked. However, all checks of the property will be documented at the Sheriff's Office.

4. What information will I need to provide?

You will need to provide the following items when you call to request a property check:

The address of the property to be checked.

Contact numbers for the property owner and at least one local caretaker, if possible.

A list of vehicles that will be at the property including License Plate numbers, if possible.

Any lights that will be left on at the property.

A list of people with permission to access the property, their vehicle and contact information.

Any other pertinent information that may be beneficial for Law Enforcement officers to be aware of.
