District Attorney

The District Attorney’s office provides a range of services including: prosecution, extradition, victim/witness services, advising law enforcement officers and representation of county or state agencies in various proceedings. The District Attorney’s office, by statute, cannot provide legal advice to the general public.

A prosecutor’s obligation is to seek justice on behalf of the community. Restitution for the victim, potential for the defendant to rehabilitate, and the safety of the community are some of the factors that are considered in making decisions on individual cases.
